The 5th World Conference on Doping In Sports was held in Katowice, Poland over the period 4th to 5th November, 2019 and the St Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee was represented by Mr Leroy Greene, Assistant Secretary-General and Chair of the SKNOC’s/CGA’s Anti-Doping Commission who indicated that “it was a very well attended conference with well over sixteen hundred (1,600) participants with stakeholders from all over the world. The conference highlighted the need for athletes to be the focus of anti-doping activities and that athletes must be a part in formulating programs that are geared towards them”.
The Katowice World Conference on Doping in Sport has called upon stakeholders in the fight against doping in sports, including the Sports Movement, Governments, Anti-Doping Organisations, and athletes, to reinforce their efforts to strengthen their cooperation in every way possible; to present a unified front with a view to eradicate doping in sports; to increase resources dedicated to protecting clean sports and to bring all perpetrators to account, without limitation.
