Every year, on behalf of the Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany in cooperation with the Sports Science Faculty of the University of Letpzig, the university organizes several International Courses of Continued Studies for coaches and P.E. teachers from Latin America & the Caribbean.

The applicants must be nationals of Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Montserrat, Suriname, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia or St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

All courses are translated in English. Eligible are applicants up to 40 years of age with:
– a university/college degree in the field of sports
– experience as active athletes and as coaches / P.E. teachers
– good physical and psychological aptitude.

The duration of the course is 5 months.

Financing

The course is sponsored by the Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany. Every participant receives a monthly allowance. Participant has to bear the costs for travelling to Letpzig and back home.
